FC Internship

A semester long program for future church leaders.

The internship is a non paid opportunity for college juniors and seniors, or young adults looking for an opportunity to learn ministry. Family Church seeks to connect families to know and love God and their families.

The internship is an 8-12 week opportunity to earn credit toward an internship for college or program that will equip you for lifelong growth as a believer, and a future church leader. We walk through the why, the heart, and the path to become a minister. Most importantly, we help all interns understand the calling of Christ.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of apply Biblical truths.

  • Successfully work with different staff of Family Church in different ministry departments.

  • Gain a better awareness of yourself.

  • Develop the foundation for being an exceptional minister

  • Create lasting mentorships.

  • Be a part of something bigger than yourself.

All of this takes place in an environment of forgiveness, grace, encouragement, and challenge.

Biblical Community Spiritual Formation Servant Leadership Ministry Experience

Biblical Community

Interns practice living Christ-centered fellowship.

Gather with church staff members for staff meetings

Meet with church staff weekly on personal growth.

Spiritual Formation

As believers, each day of our life is the preparation and execution of what we believe about the truth of the Gospel.

The goals:

-Deepen relationship with Christ

-Develop a better understanding of God’s word and apply it rightly.

-Engage in spiritual disciplines that further refine us as followers of Christ.

The How:

-Weekly Bible Study

-Assigned mentors

-Daily Bible reading

Servant Leadership

Interns learn to lead by becoming servants first.

The goals:

  • Develop leadership skills

  • Lead others group meetings and prayer

  • Be ready and willing to rise to any occasion

The how:
- Given increasing levels of responsibility and difficulty throughout the year
- Lead interns, staff, and volunteers through coordination
- Daily opportunities to serve one another and other departments

Ministry Experience

Interns develop a vast amount of knowledge in a variety of areas.

The goals:

  • Develop strong mental and physical ministry skills

  • Build-up Resume-worthy ministry experience

  • Connect with community events such as chaplain calls and hospital visits.

The how:
- Serve on Sundays during the weekly church gatherings and services
- Weekly work with various departments: marketing, kids, connections, students, tech, and speaking.
- Lead seasonal events

-Partner with staff for ministerial care meetings, visits, and chaplain calls.
